Dr. Farhan Malik, MD – Medical Director
Dr. Malik participated in a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Nevada. He provided care for sixteen NCAA Division 1 teams both in the training room and during events. Since the fall of 2013, Dr. Malik has worked at the AIM multidisciplinary pain management clinic. He has facilitated evaluation and management of various MSK (musculoskeletal) and pain symptoms and conditions.
When Dr. Malik is not delivering world-class care to patients in the Atlanta area, he likes to read and participate in recreational sports. His preferred activities include basketball, football, and kickboxing. He also loves science fiction or military fiction novels.
Dr. Steven Mercante, DC – Chiropractor
Dr. Mercante earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Life University in 1994, and joined AIM in August of 2000. Dr. Mercante helped thousands of patients at our Atlanta-area pain clinic for 17 years before taking a leave of absence in 2017 to explore the world, a life-long passion fulfilled.
After a four year global journey, Dr. Mercante rejoined AIM in 2021, with a renewed energy and enthusiasm for health and life. We are thrilled to have him back, as he exhibits an unwavering commitment to caring for our patients, who adore him.
Dr. Mercante takes a lead role in providing deep patient assessments, and provides chiropractic adjustments as needed. He also performs physiotherapy for the patients of AIM. In addition, he collaborates with other AIM clinicians to offer patients a holistic treatment approach that addresses the underlying causes of their conditions.
In addition to traveling, he enjoys playing ice hockey and participating in various outdoor activities.
Jessica Kaplan, APRN
Jessica Kaplan, APRN received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Kennesaw State University and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama. She brings over six years of nursing experience to AIM. Outside of the office, Jessica enjoys hiking with her fur babies, curling up on the couch with coffee and a good book, and spending time with her family.
